For an opportunity to discover new off road buddies and have a lot of fun in the process Jeep® Jamboree is the event you want to attend. These weekends happen all over the USA so finding a Jeep Jamboree near you is not hard. Jeep® Jamborees are off-road adventure weekends that bring together the outdoors, down-to-earth people, and their Jeep 4x4s. These off-road treks have a long tradition dating back to 1953 when 4×4 pioneer Mark A. Smith organized the first ever Jeep Jamboree and voyaged across the Sierra Nevada Mountains by way of the old Rubicon Trail. In 1954, Willys Motors — then manufacturer of Jeep vehicles — became involved with the adventure, and Jeep Jamborees have been an off-road tradition ever since.” – Jeep Jamboree USA

Does My Jeep 4×4 Need Special Equipment For a Jamboree?

Yes! The following is MANDATORY for all vehicles:

Jeep vehicles must have four-wheel drive with a low-range (4-LO) transfer case.
Front and rear tow points must be properly mounted to the frame with grade-eight bolts.
Drawbars, receiver hitches, or aftermarket bumpers with manufacturer-installed clevis or D-ring anchor points are acceptable alternates to tow points. If you don’t have tow points, you may be turned away without a refund.
All open-topped vehicles, including older models (CJs, Scramblers, and Willys), must have roll bars.
A full-size spare tire; a space-saver spare (donut) just won’t do.
Street legal vehicle with current license plate.

Do You Recommend Additional Equipment?

Skid plates covering the oil pan, gas tank, and transfer case. Mandatory for the Rubicon Trail.
Rock rails for Jeep Liberty, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Commander vehicles registered for higher-rated trails. Rock rails are iron moldings designed to protect your vehicle’s rocker sills from damage. Strongly advised for Jamborees with rocky terrain. Mandatory for the Rubicon Trail. Please contact the Jeep Jamboree USA office for additional information.
Heavy-duty, 20-foot nylon tow straps (7,000 lb max vehicle weight) with looped ends. TOW STRAPS WITH METAL HOOKS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
Body lifts/suspension lifts up to six inches (combined) are permitted. Running boards and snowplow frames are not permitted. Tires over 37 inches are not permitted.

Jeep Beach – May 11-15 2011

Jeep Beach offers 5 days of family fun for every level of Jeeper! Held in Daytona Beach, Fl., Jeep Beach offers obstacle courses, raffles, and great Jeep vendors! At last year’s event, 737 Jeeps participated with over 50 vendors and $40 worth of raffle prizes. This year’s event has grown even bigger – bring the family and have some fun in the sun!

Schedule of Events

Wed, May 11, 2011:

7pm – 11pm – Hooters on International Drive in Daytona Beach, Florida. ”Meet and Greet” for everyone at Jeep Beach.

Saturday, May 14, 2011:

2011 Daytona Beach FL. South East largest Jeep only car show. This year we are expected 1000 Jeeps to attend with over $50,000 in giveaways and prizes from our great sponsors and vendors.

Sun, May 15, 2011:

7am – 12pm – Daytona Beach Fl. 2 mile long line of Jeeps riding down Daytona Beach.

Jeep Beach ® 2011 Registration! Pre-Registration will begin on February 1st. The pre-registration fee will be $50. Pre-registration will end on May 6th. All pre-registrants will be entered into a special drawing. After pre-registration, the entrance fee will be $60.

Easter Jeep Safari 2011 in Moab, UT

About Easter Jeep Safari:

The event is hosted by the Red Rock 4-Wheelers Inc. a local four wheel club of Moab, Utah. The Easter Jeep Safari consists of trail rides, mostly day long trips, departing from Moab Utah during the 9 day long event. Moab is referred to as the Mecca of four wheeling and rock climbing. Participants provide their own Jeep or other four wheel drive vehicle, also take care of their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Lots of sunscreen, water, and layered clothing is essential for this event. There are a variety of trails for all levels of vehicles and drivers, from 2 wheel accessible to needing seriously modified vehicles. There are some special options including overnight runs on the Hole in the Rock trail, and several Ladies only Runs. Great fun for everyone!

This year’s Easter Jeep Safari will debut the new pickup version of the jeep wrangler. Chrysler released a DIY kit inspired by the iconic Jeep Scrambler CJ-8 from the 1980′s. Mopar designed the new kit to convert a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited into a pickup truck. The bed length is 50 inches and the width between wheel wells is 44 inches. Also, they created new body panels to cover the second-row entrance and removed all of the interior parts behind the front seats. The Jeep became a two-seater with just enough room for gear. The JK-8 drivetrain is fitted with a Mopar/Dyantrac ProRock 44 front axle and stock Dana 44 rear axle, both spun with 4.88 gears. A 4.5 inch long arm suspension kit links the axles to the frame with BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2 tires. The JK-8 kit also includes bed floor, inner/outer body panels, half hard top, and a new bulkhead.
