2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty¨ Black Ops Edition

Just when we were getting excited about the new 2011 Jeep Wrangler, Jeep and Activision Publishing, Inc. have something even better up their sleeve: an exclusive 2011 Jeep Wrangler “Special Ops” edition, inspired by its virtual video game counterpart in “Call of Duty: Black Ops.”

Priced from $30,625 (2-door model) to $33,500 (4-door Unlimited model), the “Black Ops” 2011 Wrangler edition features a package that includes a “military style” blacked-out exterior, high-gloss Mineral Gray alloy wheels seated in 32” off-road tires, Mopar taillamp guards, special “Call of Duty” logos on the roof, graphics on the front quarter panels bearing tribute to the video game, and a Mopar fuel door… all this in addition to the new features already offered by the revamped 2011 Wrangler.

2011 Jeep Wrangler Call of Duty¨ Black Ops Edition

Based on the Rubicon model, the “Special Ops” limited edition Jeep Wrangler is seamlessly woven into the storyline of “Call of Duty: Special Ops,” the military-focused video game by Treyarch, as was the intention of Mark Lamia, Studio Head of game development. Mr. Lamia states that “our work with the Jeep team focused around using the Jeep Wrangler in our levels and gameplay experiences, and translating the style and look of the vehicle in Black Ops to the Jeep on the showroom floor that our fans can own.”

These “BA” “Black Ops” Jeep Wranglers are hitting showrooms this month, so if you are in the market for a new Jeep companion, we suggest that you “get your game on…”

Jeepinstein’s Monster: A Hallow’s Eve Tale

By admin · Comments (0)
Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

He died a hero serving America…born of a people who fight for what they believe in. “We do not give up! We do not slow down! We go fast!” ~ Sgt. Max Bahtkicker,
(
or as we all knew him)….MB.

Dr. Jeepenstein - “Yjor!, I need a body for my project. Project JK must be! We must get the corpse now!”

Dr. Jeepinstein and Yjor drove through the dark and erie streets of Kwasville in search of the cemetary plot from which the dead will once again live…

Dr. Jeepinstein – “Offroad Yjor!, I said go offroad!”
Yjor – “Yes, Doctor…”
Dr. Jeepenstein – “I believe this narrow jagged rock path gives way to the back entrance of his tomb.”
Yjor – “Master?”
Dr. Jeepensten – “Yes Yjor”
Yjor – “You mean the narrow rock path past the raging waterfall, boulder-field, and just across that treacherous quicksand?”
Dr. Jeepinstein – “Yes Yjor. Rubi con do it.” His tomb is here. We must exume him! Hurry…”
Yjor – “Master?”

Yjor points squarely to nine small depressions on the front of the grave.

Dr. Jeepinstein – “Step aside Yjor. Tink. Tink. He is here! Yjor, prepare the winch! To his corpse – “You are mine now. I WILL bring you back… back from the dead! Hurry, Yjor! We must get him back to the lab before we are discovered… Back to the LAB!”

Dr. Jeepinstein, Yjor, Rubi and the remains of what is to become infamous make their way along the road leading to the castle.

Back at the Castle…
Dr. Jeepinstein – “Yjor, prepare yourself for the greatest and most excellent thing that has ever happened to Jeep-Kind! Raise the platform! Initiate life status from CJ1 to CJ8!” (Lightning CRACKS!) Yjor, switch life status from CJ8 to Wrangler!”
Yjor – “But Master!?!”
Dr. Jeepinstein – “DO IT NOW! To WRANGLER status, Yjor!! (CRACK! Pop! CRACK! – Mechanical hissing) AAHHAAHHH! (Cracking sounds – the smell of something burning) “Bring him down! Bring him down!” (The doctor’s cries echo through the castle…)

The smell of burnt rubber and the stench of death overwhelms the room. Red hot metal pulsates from the once lifeless corpse, as he is now alive!

Dr. Jeepinstein – “He’s ALIVE – ALIVE! Yjor, he’s ALIVE! I, Dr. T.J, Jeepinstein have done it! – Rise JK – Rise! I have given you a new life. I am your father, and you are my son. — Yjor, he’s going to speak.”

Jeepinstein’s Monster, JK: “Faaaa..therrrrrrr. Faaaaatherrrrrr” (his sorrowful bellows penetrate the castle walls)

Dr. Jeepinstein – “Yjor we must help him up.”
JK: “Father, I can go fast! I can!”
Dr. Jeepinstein – “You must go slow at first, son. The world is not ready for you…yet.”
JK: “FAST! FAST! I MUST GO FAST!”
Dr. Jeepinstein – “Yjor get back! He’s mad! He’s MAD! Run for your life….I can no longer stop him!”

Dr. Jeepinstein and Yjor were no match for the JK. A massive brute, irrevocably raised from the ashes of the dead and capable of destroying all in his path, he was a true MONSTER! In little time, JK plunged through the castle walls and was freed into the world at large.

Dr. Jeepinstein – “Yjor what did I do wrong? Was it the oil transfusion? Where did I go wrong?! Where, I say?”
Yjor – “Master?”
Dr. Jeepinstein – “You are RiGHT! He must be destroyed! He must not be allowed to reach humanity! Come Yjor, we must find him!”

Meanwhile, JK was fast approaching Kwasville. The sheer ferocity from his newly overhauled heart and body was such that you could see JK’s dust cloud billowing in the distance. As he neared the city, a dim rumble turned to a thunderous roar. The people of Kwasville, not understanding what was happening, entered into the streets, when what they saw shook them to their very cores.

Someone in the crowd shouted – “A jeep with four doors! NO, IT CAN”T BE! FOUR DOORS!! HE”S A MONSTER!!!”
The giant opened his mouth and bellowed in a deep, flowmastery voice….”I am JK! I GO FAST! I GO FAST!!!”

A familiar voice rang out from the crowd – “JK, I am your father! You are my son!”

The monster lowered his rpms and looked. It was Dr. Jeepinstein.

JK – (mournfully) “Father…Father! I GO Fast!”
Dr. Jeepinstein – “Yes you do, son, you go fast.”

Just then someone threw a rock and hit JK right in the eye. The monster reared back and let out an atomic roar that shattered all the windows of the world. Anger turbocharged through his new heart  and in a spark of fire, he disappeared. Nobody knows what happened to Jeepinstein’s Monster. Some say if you go into the mountains on Hallow’s Eve, when the creatures are quiet, you can still hear him roaring -“Father, I Go Fast!!!”

As for Dr. Jeepinstein and Yjor – they are still trying to repay the city for damages.

Julian Smith’s Jeep Cherokee “Techno Jeep”

By admin · Comments (0)
Thursday, September 16th, 2010

If you’ve never heard of Julian Smith, then you are missing… something. He has a certain kind of talent that makes you cringe, laugh, then cringe, then laugh some more. Julian is a director / filmmaker from Nashville, TN known for his short comedies, but for this blog post, we are focusing on a short film / song he created using ONLY live recording equipment, some very talented friends, and actual sounds produced by manipulating various components of his Jeep Cherokee. I guarantee that after you watch this video, you’ll be slamming your Jeep doors in your driveway to the beat of your own favorite tune (after making sure no one is looking, of course). So enjoy, and let us know what you think!
